Webinar – Sustainability Leadership and Climate Action Plans: Implementing New DfE Guidance – 27/06/2023

The initiative represents the next step towards fulfilment of the government’s vision “for the United Kingdom to be the world-leading education sector in sustainability and climate change by 2030”, as set out in its flagship sustainability and climate change strategy.

Aim: This webinar will explain how to put in place a sustainability lead or team and climate action plan in your education setting by 2025, aligned with new DfE guidance. The initiative represents the next step towards fulfilment of the government’s vision “for the United Kingdom to be the world-leading education sector in sustainability and climate change by 2030”, as set out in its flagship sustainability and climate change strategy. 

Rationale: On 18 May 2023, the DfE published its guidance ‘Sustainability leadership and climate action plans in education’, which explains how and why education settings, including early years providers, schools, multi-academy trusts and colleges, must put in place a sustainability lead or team, and a climate action plan by 2025.
