FREE talk and Q&A on the business case for sustainability with Richard Carter, FIEMA 16/04/2023
Join us at Green Sundays for a free talk on how strides for sustainability are not only good for our planet, they’re great for your pocket.
In partnership with West Suffolk College Sustainability Centre, Sudbury Town Council are pleased to welcome Richard Carter to our Green Sundays events in Sudbury this Spring.
This talk will provide a short introduction to environmental sustainability and why it’s so much more than just recycling your yoghurt pot or buying an electric car. Having seen that it’s a broad and complicated topic, Richard will highlight some of the techniques that individuals and businesses can use to reduce their impact and start to make a difference.
Richard Carter is a lecturer in finance and sustainability at West Suffolk College, and also the deputy chair of IEMA, the professional body for everyone working in environmental management. The institute has thousands of members in over 100 countries, and the current polycrisis is contributing to its fastest ever rate of membership growth.
Richard will briefly introduce the courses available at West Suffolk College for those wanting to develop their knowledge and improve their business performance.
Come along to see what small changes can start your sustainability journey.
