Carbon Literacy Training – over 2 morning sessions – 09/05/2023 & 11/05/2023
What is Carbon Literacy?
Carbon Literacy is “an awareness of the carbon dioxide costs and impacts of everyday activities, and the ability and motivation to reduce emissions, on an individual, community and organisational basis.”
The course is the equivalent of 8 hours CPD training and will be delivered remotely, after which attendees receive a Carbon Literacy certification.
Every course is tailored to the interests of the attendees and their organisation and is aimed to empower individuals to make the changes we need to see to achieve emissions reductions at both a personal and an organisational level.
As an organisation, you can also sign up to become a Carbon Literate organisation through the Carbon Literacy Project, with levels from Bronze to Platinum depending on the level of your commitment.
Key topics covered.
- Understanding the science behind climate change and greenhouse gas emissions.
- Carbon footprints and why these are important.
- How our actions at home and at work can have an impact.
